Does it bother you as much as it bugs me? Here it is: "soon Mr. Hudson and her comes up with" See it? Mr. Hudson and her comes -- Really? The "her" should be "she" as a subject not an object, then "comes" should be "come", for example she comes over or they come over. AND not OR, that's key there. That's in the lead, a tidbit to entice potential readers. I can't imagine how irritating the book would be for a truly educated reader. Writers who failed grammar need to have an editor who aced it.
